NY. Lower Manhattan, West Side. I took this photo in September 2005 but when I visited New York this summer the entire pier was gone, condo development was under way. I guess it is piece of the history now :-)

Same thing happens near all over and the word ‘improvement’ is heard a lot. All comes down to cash, I guess, but the true value of what is lost forever will be realized some day. A good shot of record.
